Mincor actually believes that the term "Advertising Translation" is really a misnomer. For advertising in another language, we generally do not translate. We create advertising copy according to the needs of our customer, the actual product, and the actual target audience. Our advertising copy may have totally different words from what a translation of the original copy would be, and that will probably be just fine for your market.

History has shown many critical mistakes made by translating copy in Advertising. As follows is a couple of examples:

In Taiwan, the translation of the Pepsi slogan "Come alive with the Pepsi Generation" came out in Chinese as "Pepsi will bring your ancestors back from the grave."
